Bird and Pigeon Proofing

Pigeon droppings are acidic — they corrode paint, metalwork and joints. The only lasting answer is a physical barrier.

Pigeons are treated as a cosmetic issue, but the real damage is to the cladding. Dried droppings drawn indoors through ventilation also create a hygiene problem.

Scope

Spike barriers

Fitted to parapets, soffits and ledges to stop birds landing; virtually invisible from the ground.

Protective netting

For larger openings such as balcony soffits, ventilation voids and internal courtyards. Available to match the facade colour.

AC unit cages

The space behind a condenser is one of the favourite nesting spots.

Cleaning comes first

Existing nests and accumulated droppings are removed before installation; fitted to a soiled surface, nothing lasts.

What does not work

Plastic decoys, sonic devices and reflective strips look effective for a few weeks, then the birds adapt and return. Only a physical barrier produces a lasting result. The systems we fit do not harm birds; they simply prevent landing.

Frequently asked questions

Will the barrier spoil the look of the facade?

Chosen correctly it is virtually invisible from street level, and netting can be matched to the facade colour.

Can cleaning and proofing be done in one job?

Yes, and that is the right way. Facade cleaning and bird proofing are usually planned within the same scope.
